Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Overview

Stash is designed with your privacy as a core principle. Your data belongs to you — we don't sell it, share it, or profit from it. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Data stored on your device and iCloud

All tiles you create in Stash are stored locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced through your personal iCloud account via CloudKit. This means:

  • Your data lives in your iCloud account, not on Stash servers.
  • We have no access to the content of your tiles — not your text, links, code, addresses, or images.
  • iCloud sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is end-to-end encrypted for eligible data.

Data we do not collect

Stash does not collect, transmit, or store:

  • The content of any tile you create
  • Your name, email address, or any account information
  • Location data
  • Browsing history or activity outside the app
  • Advertising identifiers

Crash reporting and diagnostics

If you opt in to sharing diagnostics with Apple (via iOS/macOS Privacy Settings), Apple may share anonymized crash logs with us through App Store Connect. These logs contain technical details about the crash — such as a stack trace and device type — but never the content of your tiles or any personally identifiable information.

We use this data only to fix bugs and improve stability. You can opt out at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Third-party services

Stash does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party service involved is Apple's iCloud / CloudKit for optional sync, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

Stash does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or collect personal data from any user.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if appropriate, notify you through the app or the App Store update notes.
